Currently I've posted some photos of Hong Kong and Macau. Eventually I will post photos from Beijing and the Great Wall of China.

Hong Kong became a British colony in 1841. At that time is was a collection of small villages. Under British rule it became a thriving port city and gateway to mainland China. On July 1, 1997 Hong Kong was returned to China.

Macau became a Portuguese colony in the 16th century. It was the first European settlement in the Far East. On December 20, 1999 Macau became a Special Adminstrative Region of mainland China.
