New Market is an old market in Dhanmoni in Dhaka. It was build from 1952-1954. New Market has a wall around it with three arched gates leading to rows of shops. You can buy almost anything in New Market! The shops sell things like books, watches, clocks, stationery, leather goods, food, clothes, jewelery, clothing, plastic goods, dishes, pots and pans, electrical goods, etc. You can also find tailors and other services. The market has a total of 468 shops. Buying a sari at New Market is a fantastic experience. The shop keeps serve you tea or Coca Cola while you shop.
